The September 4th WTBOA Summer and Mixed Sale is next up
on our agenda.
You can see pictures of our Summer Yearling consignment on
the "Foals
of 2011" page.
Our consignment features the first crop of
NATIONHOOD. I
think you will agree that his foals look outstanding!
In addition, we have a colt by PETIONVILLE out of
2011's Washington Broodmare of the Year, PEACEFUL WINGS.
We hope to be able to show you these outstanding
yearlings in the flesh from September 1st on at the sales
grounds. If you
would like to see them before then on the farm, contact us.
With the fantastic 2011 racing year in which we were
Washington's LEADING BREEDER to spur us on, the 2012 year is
rapidly becoming equally as memorable, with stakes
performance so far by JEBRICA, SWEET NELLIE BROWN, OIL
COUNTRY, and PRIVATE FORTUNE (Private Fortune races for Blue
Ribbon Racing #2).
Impressive maiden wins were scored by Amazing Legacy,
De La Luna (which races for Blue Ribbon Racing #6), and
Muchas Coronas (which races for Blue Ribbon Farm).
We have a great
group of foals of 2012 -- including an April 12th HARD SPUN
colt out of our newest mare, stakes winner SWEET FOURTY.
The breeding season went well for us -- all four
mares we sent to out of state sires are in foal -- to FREUD,
POSSE, BIRDSTONE, and STEVIE WONDERBOY.

Blue Ribbon Farm is a 70 Acre Thoroughbred breeding farm located near Buckley, Washington, in the shadow of Mt. Rainier.
Owned by Debbie and Rick Pabst since 1973, the farm is home to approximately 15 broodmares and their offspring, which are sold as yearlings at the Washington Thoroughbred Breeders and Owners Association (WTBOA) public auctions.
We take pride in breeding and raising outstanding equine athletes in our spacious pastures. Outside mares are welcomed to foal here and be bred back to local stallions or inseminated (for those breeds for which it is allowed) using cooled, shipped semen. We consistently achieve conception rates in the 90th percentile. Dr. Jeff Stenslie is our current attending veterinarian and provides horses at Blue Ribbon Farm with top quality veterinary care.
We have always been active in bringing new stallions into Washington, and we are now standing NATIONHOOD. We own shares in many Washington stallions, so contact us if you need a season. Blue Ribbon Racing will be syndicating two new horses. We are also available to help you find nurse mares and manage orphan foals.
