Blue Ribbon Farm
What's New?
We have a new broodmare – SWEET FOURTY, purchased at Keeneland
in foal to HARD SPUN. She is a stakes winner of $210,160, and includes
on her resume a 2nd place finish in the Sharp Cat stakes at Hollywood
to BALANCE (ZENYATTA’s million dollar earning older half sister).
HARD SPUN’s first foals are 2-year-olds of 2011, and he is
ranked 2nd nationally with 1st crop sires.
Check her out on the broodmare page.

SWEET FOURTY
It’s been a great year at the races! JEBRICA, SWEET NELLIE
BROWN, ATTA BOY ROY, Private Fortune, and Wild Wings all won or
placed in stakes in 2011. Four Blue Ribbon Farm breds won as two-year-olds
in 2011.
We sold the Sales Topper at the 2011 WTBOA Summer and Mixed Sale.
Take a look at the Candy Ride (ARG) – Sudden Departure colt
on the foals of 2010 page. He was purchased by Ed and Theresa DeNike
for $105,000. We wish them the best of luck in his racing career.
We have syndicated a new racehorse – Eagle Harbor. You can
find his picture on the Foals of 2010 page. He is by Birdstone and
out of Artic Mist by Son of Briartic. You will be able to follow
his progress on his page under the Racing Syndications tab.
NATIONHOOD’s first foals are on the ground, and they are
OUTSTANDING! Some of them are featured on NATIONHOOD’s stallion
register page at the Thoroughbred Times website, and of course they
are on our foals of 2011 page.

Blue Ribbon Farm is a 70 Acre Thoroughbred breeding farm located near Buckley, Washington, in the shadow of Mt. Rainier.
Owned by Debbie and Rick Pabst since 1973, the farm is home to approximately 15 broodmares and their offspring, which are sold as yearlings at the Washington Thoroughbred Breeders and Owners Association (WTBOA) public auctions.
We take pride in breeding and raising outstanding equine athletes in our spacious pastures. Outside mares are welcomed to foal here and be bred back to local stallions or inseminated (for those breeds for which it is allowed) using cooled, shipped semen. We consistently achieve conception rates in the 90th percentile. Dr. Jeff Stenslie is our current attending veterinarian and provides horses at Blue Ribbon Farm with top quality veterinary care.
We have always been active in bringing new stallions into Washington, and we are now standing NATIONHOOD. We own shares in many Washington stallions, so contact us if you need a season. Blue Ribbon Racing will be syndicating two new horses. We are also available to help you find nurse mares and manage orphan foals.
